Fenech & Fenech Advocates is a leading multi-disciplinary law firm with a predominantly international clientele providing tailored legal services across all practice areas. We are seeking to recruit highly motivated lawyers to work within our Shipping Registration /Ship Finance departments.
Responsibilities will include:
All aspects connected with ship sale and purchase and ship registration under the Malta flag;
Drafting of legal documents relating to financing and mortgaging of Malta flagged ships;
Assisting the team concerned with the day to day handling of the case load, liaising with clients;
Researching and drafting of legal documents;
Individual client handling.
Applicants are expected to take an interest in the technical aspects of the issues as they arise and are expected to take a hands-on approach. Ability to work as part of a team is a prerequisite.
A Masters in Law degree in maritime law, previous work experience and previous practical experience in the maritime sector will be considered an asset.

This department is a highly specialised department which deals with all aspects of ship/yacht registration under the Malta flag and with legal advice and assistance to financiers with respect to the registration of securities.
